1,294 Locks and Keys Project - No More!

Today was the last day for The Locks and Keys Project.  You'll see from the pics below that the fence and all the wonderful, thoughtful, amazing pieces are no longer.  Thank you to all who stopped by to hang something, who mailed me their additions, and to all the schools and groups who welcomed me to their locations to create their LAKP art.  It was an amazing two years and I am humbled by your generosity in thought and time when being a participant and guest artist.

Merci, Baie Dankie, Rumba Nandri, Grazie, 謝謝, Dziekujemy, Obrigado, Thank you.

1,293 The Fence Is COMING DOWN!

I'm getting ready to take the fence down, hopefully in time for this years Natick Artists Open Studios, October 20 & 21.  I've got something new I want to do in the same location and will be getting that ready to take the place of LAKP.  It's been a great ride, and I'll post a couple more pics before it comes down.  I know there have been some additions that I've not posted photos of, and I'm so sorry about that!  One last photo and hopefully you'll find you piece.

1,292. Beginning of the end......

Hi Folks,
These are probably some of the very last additions and photos to the fence!  I think it's time to record the final pieces, take one last full photo and call it OVER.  I've got a couple of ideas for something new for the area, so cherish these last few lovelies...........

This is a very very special piece sent to me by my ArtFest buddy, pal and friend Marianne! She's a painter (can ya tell????)!  Front above, back, below.

Another very very very special piece, added by.......oh, right, it's anonymous!
Very wonderful sentiment!

1,291. Last of the SUPER LARGE Keys stolen.....

Well, it's seems like with the theft of my last super large (3") gold ornate key from the LAKP fence, it might be time to think about taking it down!  I received 3 of these incredibly tacky but fun HUGE gold keys as Christmas gifts and each has been taken from the fence.  The last one I put up last week, I secured in three different places with 12 gauge wire, wrapped around and through and under and between the key and the fence, so whoever took it had to WORK to get it.  I hope they are enjoying the funkiness of the key and hold it as high esteem as I did.  I miss it and all it's siblings!  Bad karma to steal that, don't you think?

So, my thoughts turn to, what do I do with the fence if I take it down?  If you have any ideas, email me at

1,290. On The Fence 04-05-12

Here are some new pieces, plus some that I just saw today, but obviously ("Let it Snow") have been on the fence for a while!  My apologies for not seeing some of these sooner!

*Note:  This is the SECOND "I eat babies" on the fence!

1,289. Heather & Keith's Engagement......

WOW!  I just stumbled upon (pun intended!) some engagement photo's (Heather and Keith - congrats, whoever you are!) taken by a local Boston photographer!  I'm so excited - check out her website and look at her lovely photos:

Thanks Ruth Eileen photography for finding the fence and thinking it was a good location for your lovely photos!

Here's their LAKP piece that I never saw, but found after seeing their engagement photo:

1,288. Welcome ArtFest 2012 Friends!

Thank you so much for accepting my trade of a Locks and Keys Project kit!  I'm so happy you've decided to take a moment and visit my site!  I'm so excited and hopeful that many of you will create something fun, funny, heartfelt, sentimental and maybe even a bit crazy to send to me for my project.  I look forward to hearing from you, receiving your creations, hanging them on the fence, then putting the photo's RIGHT HERE, for all the world to see!

THANKS for visiting!
