To help you understand where these photos came from, and how the stories are acquired, please read the instructions participants are given to help them get started when they visit the LAKP site:

Help us create an interactive public art installation using locks and keys. As a guest “artist” pick a lock and/or key from our free supply. Think of a memory, a wish, a regret, or anything that is important to you. With that thought in mind, write a message directly on the lock or key, or on key tags we have on site.

You can also participate remotely.
