"I made my lock and key for my best friend Sophia. She moved to New York in 2nd grade. The letter beads in my bag spell SOPHIE and CATY. Then I added 2 rings, 1 purple and 1 blue because those are our favorite colors. Next I added a heart and star charm. Those shapes are a nice symbol of our friendship. A hope charm is in the bag because I hope she will come back. Lastly, I put in a golden string to represent our never ending friendship. I didn't want to string the beads on the string because we're not together - we're apart.
